Experience the Ancient Energy Healing Practice of Reiki Virtually or In-Person
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. Based on the concept of unseen life force energy that flows through us, it is administered by “laying on hands”. Although Reiki was discovered by Mikao Usui in 1922, this simple yet powerful technique has been practiced for thousands of years.
The word Reiki comes from two Kanji (ideograms used in the written language of Japan): Rei and Ki. Rei means spiritual wisdom and Ki (pronounced “chi”) is universal life energy. Reiki is a special kind of Ki that is defined as spiritually guided life energy.
I practice traditional Reiki, as well as the evolved form of Holy Fire® Reiki, virtually, as well as in-person in the Greenwich, Connecticut / NYC / Westchester New, York area.
BENEFITS OF REIKI
Reiki channels universal energy to assist the body’s natural healing processes. It has been known to:

Develop emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being

Induce deep relaxation

Help people cope with emotional stress

Improve overall well-being
Reiki is sometimes used as a supportive therapy for people with conditions such as cancer, heart disease, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, fatigue, infertility, neurodegenerative disorders, autism, or Crohn’s disease. Many hospitals, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, have Reiki practitioners on staff.
It is important to note that Reiki should never take the place of medical treatments.
Practicing a New Reiki Energy
Holy Fire® Reiki was introduced in 2014 by William Lee Rand, founder of the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). This form of Reiki is both powerful and gentle and provides purification, healing, empowerment, and guidance. Holy Fire® Reiki’s new methods of passing the energy require little interaction to produce amazing results. It works continuously and spontaneously heals issues as they come up.
I am excited to offer this powerful form of Reiki to clients, having completed training by Nicole Rutsch, a Registered Holy Fire® III World Peace Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher.
Holy Fire® is the registered service mark of William Lee Rand.
What to Expect During a Reiki Session
Traditional, or Usui Reiki Treatments
Traditional reiki treatments can occur anywhere, but most people prefer a calm, quiet room. During a session, you lie down or sit in a chair, fully clothed. A practitioner lightly places their hands on or just above your body in various locations on your head, torso, arms and legs , and chakras to help you feel calm and relaxed. The practitioner then places their hands lightly on or over specific areas of your body, holding each position for about 3 minutes while an energy transfer takes place.
Holy Fire® Reiki
A contemporary evolution of the healing practice, Holy Fire® Reiki uses “placements” (formally called attunements) on the participant. Placements are done differently than attunements, but have been developed to provide more effective healing energy and to empower the symbols in a more powerful way. Rather than physically interacting with the participant, the practitioner simply sits and guides them in a meditation for a few minutes, then stops talking and allows the Holy Fire energy to directly administer the Placement to the participant. As a result, the pure Holy Fire energy works in an uninhibited way and the vibration of the Placements are much higher, allowing the participant to experience a higher quality healing energy.
Sound Bath and Reiki
I like to incorporate Reiki into Sound Bath sessions. Infusing Reiki while playing the alchemy crystal and Tibetan singing bowls elevates the healing experience for the participant.
